to keep the rain off the fire. They have been used for hundreds
if not thousands of years by Mexican tribesmen.

purchasing a clay chiminea. Although popular as a deck accessory,
the ones made of clay are rarely able to withstand the sudden
temperature change during a rainshower which can cause cracking
and flaking.
